HOW DO YOUR SIZES RUN?  (WOMEN) After talking to thousands of our female customers - the consensus is in.  These shorts run about a half size small.  (Some say they are true to size & others say they run a size small).  Typcially, if you buy the largest size you are currently wearing, you'll be fine with the brands we sell here in our store.  But check out our sizing chart  to help you decide.  (MEN) The sizes of our mens boardshorts run very true.  (i.e. 34" = 34").  Actually they may run an inch or so larger in the waist.  Therefore (unlike for women) no need to buy "up" a size for mens boardshorts.  For waist size equivalents for elastic waist models, consult the sizing chart for S-4X conversions.

WHAT ARE THESE GARMENTS MADE OUT OF?  All of our merchandise (boardshorts, board skirts, swim trunks, capris, etc) is made from a premium grade of durable brushed microfiber fabric.  The XELOS and GRIZZO HB brands we sell here have chosen this fabric because it is super-soft, dries quickly, and will not shrink or fade!

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?  We maintain a huge inventory with thousands of boardshorts for men, women and kids and we receive new shipments from our brand's California factories almost daily.  Orders are typically processed in 2-3 days after which the order is prepared for shipment unless a temporary backorder situation (of 21 days or less) exists with a style you select.  If the delay will be in excess of 3 weeks, we will automatically contact you via phone or email to discuss options.  If ordering during our "busy season" (Memorial Day thru Labor Day) please be patient as our volume skyrockets for those 12 weeks. 

WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING METHOD OPTONS?    USPS is the method for standard shipping.  It's $10.95 for the 1st piece and $3.00 for additional items.   Now, until the end of the month, order over $29 and you qualify for FREE SHIPPING  (no coupon code required).  Depending on how far you are from our warehouse in Tampa Florida, standard shipping typically takes 3 - 7 business days once your order has been processed, packaged, inspected for quality and leaves the building.  At checkout, you'll have the option of Overnight service for those rush orders. Fex Ex orders received by noon Eastern (M-F) will be worked the same day.  Please note that the standard Fed Ex service provides for deliveries between Monday through Friday.  If your situation requires Fed Ex to deliver on Saturday -  Fed Ex's Saturday Delivery surcharge of $12.50 will be passed along.  If you order on Friday and required delivery on Saturday you must add the words "SATURDAY DELIVERY" into the notes section of your online order form to indicate your acceptance of the surcharge.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?  Daily.  The standard shipping rates are listed below.  If you require  Express Service, please email us with information regarding the # of pieces you'd like to purchase and the destination country (sales@boardshortworld.com)  and we'll give you the exact rate.

  • $40.00 - $50.00 = $16
  • $50.01 - $60.00 = $17
  • $60.01 - $70.00 = $18
  • $70.01 - $80.00 = $19
  • $80.01 - $90.00 = $20
  • $90.01 - $100.00 = $21
  • $100.01 - $125.00 = $23
  • $125.01 - $150.00 = $25
  • $150.01 - $250.00 = $30
  • More that $250 - email sales@boardshortworld.com with the total amount of your planned order and we'll reply with the exact rate.

Please note that foreign customers are responsible for any brokerage fees and taxes incurred during the importation of our products.  Goods are shipped FOB our Tampa, FL warehouse and cannot be labeled as "gifts" or "samples".  To find out more about what the exact costs will be for your shipment, contact your local customs office.

Returns & Exchanges Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. 

  • You may return your unworn, unwashed items (with the tags attached) for your choice of a refund or exchange provided we receive them wihin 30 days of the date we shipped the related merchandise.  Without exception - NO refunds will be made for merchandise received beyond the 30-days-from-shipment date.  If you order is partially shipped and you decide you will not be exchanging those items - return them immediately.  Waiting for the balance of your order does not extend the 30-day refund window for the items in your first shipment.
  • Please note that all returns must be in saleable condition.  Returned items that are not free of pet hair or have odors of smoke, cologne, etc. will not be accepted.  If you return such an item you'll have the option of us reshipping it to you at your expense or donating it to charity.
  • After 30 days we'll issue a gift certificate for a future purchase.
  • Exchanges will be shipped to you with no additional charge for freight via USPS .  If your require , the overnight charge will apply.
  • Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.
  • Typical turnaround time for RETURNS and EXCHANGES is about 3 weeks - but may be longer during period of high volume.  For RAPID REPLACMENT, please reorder online and, in the notes section of the shopping cart form, type in the word "EXCHANGE" and your order # (for an order placed 30 or fewer days prior) and your shipping charge will be waived. 
  • If your order qualified for free shipping, and the amount of merchandise you ultimately retain falls below the $29 mark ($89 for purchases made before 9/11/07), your refund will be adjusted to compensate for the standard shipping charges that would have applied ($10.95 for the 1st piece and $3.00 for each additional).  Please allow up to 2 billing cycles for your credit to post to your card's issuing bank. 
  • You can use whatever delivery service you choose (USPS, UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc) but be sure to choose one that can provide tracking information and insurance.  Boardshortworld.com cannot replace a package lost during return shipment if proof of delivery to our warehouse is unavailable.
